Tuesday saw the Year 7 boy’s first football fixture at home against Wellington. The boys had some early chances at goal which sadly didn’t quite find the back of the net.

Through some lovely passing, Josh G scored our first goal. This was quickly followed up by a second goal from the super sub Drew H. The team worked well together, especially our strong defence of Josh S, Isaac L, Leland T and Tyler M, making it hard for Wellington to even get a shot at goal.

The boys were really starting to grow in confidence which was shown through their play and their ability to work together. The boy’s played exceptionally well and this was reflected in the final score of 8-1. Goals from: Josh G X2, Jack B X2, Drew H, Lucas T, Oscar W and Isaac L.

A huge shout out and thank you to Ben E (Yr 10) for refereeing the game.

The whole team wish Leland T a speedy recovery and they can’t wait to have him back out on the pitch with them again soon.

This weeks Word of the Week is 'Dilapidated'. This means to be in a state of disrepair due to age or lack of care. It comes from the Latin dilapidatus. Imagine you inherited a dilapidated house, would you know it down or restore it? Try using the word in a sentence. https://t.co/r5eX8XaoXM
