SERVICE OF REMEMBRANCE 2020

Pewsey Vale School invited the community to join them online for a Service of Remembrance on Friday November 6 at 10.45 am.

The service was led by the Rev. Jennifer Totney and included poems, prayers and the laying of wreaths as well as the 11 am two minute silence and the Last Post.

All pupils within the school watched the video of the Service of Remembrance and participated in the two minute silence.

Neil Pritchard, Headteacher, said, “Every year we at Pewsey Vale School host a service of remembrance for our fallen heroes. We invite many people from within the school and wider community to join us as we mark the occasion by laying wreaths and observing two minutes of silence.

This year we are having to do things differently in line with Covid-19 and current government restrictions.”

The community, who joined Pewsey Vale School online and watched the pre-recorded service of remembrance also made the following comments;

"Excellent service. Thank you to all involved on setting up and presentation. Lest we forget"

"Well done Pewsey Vale School on a lovely remembrance service"

"This is a lovely tribute. Thank you."
