The Yr 10 girls had their first netball match away at Wellington this year. The girls look very smart in their matching netball dresses and came away with a WIN against Wellington.

The girls played incredibly well and they deserved the win after all the hard work they put in at training. Throughout the game the teams defence was amazing, the interceptions and turn over balls from Molly and Ava were outstanding and the defence in the circle from Georgia and Izzy was superb putting pressure on their shooters.

In the centre third Daisy and Ava were bringing the ball down to the attacking third, where Molly and Josephine worked really well to drive to in front of their players to receive the pass. Both Molly and Josephine were using the circle edge to support their shooters, feeding the ball into Lucy, Beth or Rosie, who put up some fantastic shots.

Rosie worked so hard to drive in front of her player, to receive the pass and successfully score. Beth was always moving to drive her defender out to make space in the shooting circle where Lucy scored some great long-distance shots!

We will continue to work hard at training, and keep up the great play!!

Thank you to the Girls for playing so well and Mr Guthrie for being a fantastic supporter and driving us to the match!

This weeks Word of the Week is 'Dilapidated'. This means to be in a state of disrepair due to age or lack of care. It comes from the Latin dilapidatus. Imagine you inherited a dilapidated house, would you know it down or restore it? Try using the word in a sentence. https://t.co/r5eX8XaoXM
