Last week Pewsey Vale have hosted their first Careers Fair. This event was open to students of all ages and gave them a fantastic opportunity to think about their next steps. We are embracing the Compass for Life project which encourages all students to identify their dreams and ambitions (Super North Star) but also helps them to be strategic in planning how they will get there.
Our Careers event has enabled our students, and those from some local Primary Schools, to engage with both local businesses and post 16 providers. I am very grateful to the businesses and educational institutions who have given their time in support and have been both informative and exciting. Students have enjoyed the ‘have a go’ activities on offer giving them hands on experience of some of the things available to them.
We have been very lucky to also engage some guest speakers for the event to run workshop style activities for our older students promoting thinking about aspirations and the skill sets they will need.
As a school we are committed to raising the aspirations of all of students and helping them to follow their dreams for the future.
